Loss Types

It has been said that we have an exaggerated sense of right and wrong, and we agree. That value has guided us now into our third year of business.  Having been involved in thousands of claims before starting this venture, we are learning more and daily get better at serving our clients.  In 2012, we spent over 1,000 hours reviewing insurance case law, hundreds learning the new building codes and best methods of construction, also learning how to best expedite the tough claims, educating ourselves on how new technology can help, and we are redefining the way that we do business to better serve our clients, though it will be no less idealistic.  In addition, we are in the midst of launching a non-profit to help make claims fair for all. (See the Rants section) (in progress)

We exist because too often the insured receives far less for their claim than they deserve.

We feel morally obligated to do something about it.

In one study, The state of Florida found that in the aftermath of the 2005 insurance season that policyholders employing a Public Adjuster received settlements averaging 747% higher than other policyholders. The same trend held true in non-catastrophe claims where policyholders received settlements 574% higher when they used a public adjuster.

A Public Adjuster works for you, not the insurance company, to determine the value of your loss.  You wouldn’t go to court without a lawyer or let the IRS figure out your tax liability because the cost of their services are shadowed by the gains /losses you would incur by not trusting an experienced successful professional with a history of results.  So, why with your largest investment would you take less than the benefits that you paid for, in good faith?

Why does it benefit you to hire a Public Adjuster?  Why do we obtain more from you?

Because, when it comes time to file a claim, the burden of proof is on you - the policyholder - to prove the damages exist and are covered.  Further, most adjusters, whether well intentioned or not, are overloaded, underpaid and have as little as 2 weeks training. They are often unfamiliar with the details of your policy and almost always unaware of the building codes - the standards to which the property must be restored, however old.

This is not a secret. Insurance agents hire us to handle their claims. The greatest referral we ever got was from an agent who told a policyholder that if they filed the claim they would probably be denied, but that if they called us…  Insurance adjusters give out our information to their friends and family!  We are proud of that.

Project Management

The purpose of Project management is that if we successfully get the best possible restoration approved for you, then you should get it. Contractors often cut corners, and in a number of regions the building departments do not ‘inspect what they expect’ which leads to corners being cut. For this reason we developed a procedure to vet the contractor and help ensure that your finished product is as good or better than its pre-loss condition, done to exacting standards;  goes smoothly and quickly, and that the job is cleaned up adequately before your inspection.  Freeing your valuable time.

To a large degree we can handle the claim for you - acting genuinely in your best interest.  We will deal with the insurance company from beginning to end, advocating your receipt of exactly what your thick policy allows, and spare you from disrupting your life.  We are familiar with mortgage procedures and can streamline their involvement as well.
